​A little information about Debbie Wright, owner and operator of Fancy Pets Grooming:

I have owned Fancy pets for 4 years. I bought the business from its longtime owner Thom Jenkins when he was ready to retire. He now works part time with us. I had owned a grooming shop and kennel in Flagstaff in the years before moving to Mesa, so the business is not new to me. I had been a long time customer of Fancy Pets and a friend of Stacey Salvaggio my shop manager, prior to buying the business. She has worked for Fancy pets for 18 years and has managed the shop these last 4 years. All the employees that worked for Thom are still working for Fancy Pets and I am happy to continue the business and the work Thom began 20 years ago. All of the employees at Fancy Pets are involved in animal rescue and we advocate spay and neuter for all pets. Our mission is to give the best service we can to all our two and four legged customers. 

I also work full time as a Supply Chain Manager for a retirement community in Tempe. I have been in Purchasing for 22 years and can honestly say I love my jobs. I live in Tempe and have 3 cats and a Bassett Hound. All my animals were abandoned or rescued or re-homed. I have owned many Bassett Hounds over the last 30 years, all of them from no kill shelters or Rescues. The cats are new to me so I am learning about cat behavior. My first cat, Endora, was abandoned at the shop. She is a calico and is the ruler of her domain which apparently includes me. My second cat Juliet was left at my house by a friend of my sons and the third cat Babs...well she came with the house. I bought my house, she walked in one day and hasn't left yet. Maize, the only dog, was given to me by a family that needed someone to care for her. I love them all and will care for them as long as they live. My children are adults now and though some say their pets are their children I actually believe they think I am their child. They take care of me as much as I take care of them.

I have lived in Arizona for 42 years and in the valley for 25 of those years. This is my home and I sincerely care about this city, state and the people and animals in it.
